How Not To and How To Attract Leads

by Bazza on December 14, 2009

After years of trying to build a Network Marketing Business I was ready to give up on the idea because all the training I was receiving from my up line sponsors wasn’t working for me.

These people had built their businesses years ago using these old methods of hotel meetings, canvassing all their relatives and friends, buying leads from overworked lists, using the three foot rule (the trouble with the three foot rule today is people think your trying to hit on them and they become suspicious), cold calling prospects from the phone book.

Another trick I was taught was to select a group of people I would like to work with e.g. engineers or industrial chemists then ring companies that would have these types of employees and to get their names I would say to the receptionist that you had an appointment with an engineer or chemist but you couldn’t remember his name and she would start reeling of the names of them and you would write them down as she said them and then you would pick one of the names and say to her that’s him. If she then asked if I would like to speak to him I would say that I would call him later.

The idea was then to call them at a later date using their name and promote your network marketing business.

I was not comfortable with this approach as it was deceptive in nature and I never implemented it.

Well what to do to build a marketing business. I kept searching and came across Attraction Marketing which turns out to be an excellent method of finding people who are looking for a way of building a business.

A Great Little Tool in Vista

by Bazza on November 22, 2009

There is a great little tool in Windows Vista that maybe missed by many people and I dare say it is available in Windows 7.

It is called the Snipping Tool. What it allows you to do is select a section on the screen and save it as an image in jpeg format. What I have found it good for when watching a webinar that the presenter may not save a permanent link to but you may want to be able to save it as a way of a reminder to review the information.

I just create a Folder and as the webinar progresses I do a snip of the screen and save it into the folder.
